Whilst the sun has shined upon us this week the days have been cold, our crossing supervisors have been on their shifts. Drivers continue to speed even on wet roads.....yes I know, hard to believe but they do, and it is very frustrating.
as they are not directly out the front of a school or school gate they do not meet the current criteria for a school speed zone.
This week Lottie had a visit from Aussie Actor Reef Ireland, Reef knows all about school crossings having worked in the job as a reliever last year. We headed down to Sale to do some training of the school crossing supervisors at Wellington Shire. On a sad note last Friday our friend Darryl Cotton lost his short battle with cancer. Darryl was a wonderful supporter of school crossings, he played reguarly for our crossing supervisors and will be sadly missed. I have shared a pic of him with band members Ash and Pete, and my staff Sonya and Phil.
For those of you watching the London Olympics....remember not to get too engrossed and be late for work!!! Oh and if you scroll down to the bottom of our the home page LIKE our Lottie Facebook site!
Until next week, stay safe, Dreena 29th July 2012
