2011/2012 School Crossing Awards Dinner

What a fantastic night had by all when School Crossings Victoria hosted the School Crossing Supervisor of the Year award 2011/2012 on Friday 13th July2012 in Preston. Nominations opened in term 4 of 2011 and closed in May 2012 with over 400 School Crossing Supervisors throughout the State were nominated. The State is divided into 7 regions (based on the number of school crossing supervisors per Council) and a winner was selected from each region, and from those 7 regions an overall winner was selected. School Crossings Victoria sub committee for the award was made up from members representing the Councils of Frankston, Darebin, Wodonga, Mt Alexander, Geelong, Knox . The winners of each region was selected by the subcommittee with the overall winner chosen by an independent member of SCV. 200 people from around the State attended the dinner which was held at Rydges Bell Street Preston. It was Christmas in July at this beautiful venue and guests were treated to a 3 course dinner with a DJ to entertain everyone. Once again the night was very successful and that was made possible by Sponsors and helpers, we would like to thank:

There are over 3500 school Crossing Supervisors in the State of Victoria, each and everyone is a winner in our eyes for their commitment and dedication to their job. They do their utmost to maintain safety in and around schools and without them our road toll would be a lot higher. This award is in appreciation of the job they do, this night is about recognition, it was their night.
